The Vista Clinic hosted the “Crazy for Walking” campaign at Freedom Park. This initiative raises the awareness of mental illness. The campaign will see a group of walkers walking a distance of 1500km from Pretoria to Cape Town in a period of 5 weeks.
They will arrive in Cape Town on 10 October, which is World Mental Health Day. Significant to this campaign is the de-stigmatization around the word “crazy”, which is so often used through ignorance and fear of the illness.
