The Minister of Sports and Recreation, Ms Thokozile Xasa officially launched the exhibition at Freedom Park on 20 March 2018.The event was attended by representatives from various sports fraternities, government officials etc.

In her welcome address, representing the CEO, Freedom Park Public Participation Head of Department Ms Modjadji Makoela, said” Freedom Park has inscribed the names of sports personalities who made sports another crucial site of the anti-apartheid struggle, the names of John Harris (former Chairperson of SANROC and Armed Struggle operative), Dennis Brutus (Secretary of SASA, later President of SANROC and Chairperson of International Campaign against Racism in Sport) and many others.

The exhibition closes on the 4th of May 2018.
