On 19- 20 March 2016 Freedom Park , Eldorado Park youths, Community organizations, and Delft Western Cape youth embarked on training activities, in preparations for  the launch of this  project taking place in June 2016. This initiative supports the community of Eldorado Park’s endeavor to raise children who would not be involved in drugs and other substance abuse.

The Delft Generation (DGC) is an initiative established in 2011 by Warrant Officer Mickey Daniels, who is stationed at Delft Police Station in Western Cape. The purpose for the establishment of DGC was to address the challenges faced by local youths. Members of this group comprise of school going youth from diverse background, who are making a difference in their communities. Freedom Park, Deft Community Forum and the Delft Generation Cadet have since agreed on an ongoing partnership on future related project.
