Freedom Park Commemorates Women’s Day through Music, Speech and Poetry

Forty learners from local secondary schools, tertiary institutions and five international exchange students from Italy, Spain and France in collaboration with Freedom Park will embark on a workshop on the 9th August 2016 to commemorate women’s day through poetry, music, drama /speech and storytelling.

The day’s activities will include educating the learners about the historical significance of the 1956  women march to the Union  Building, the Constitution and basic human rights by Freedom Park’s education personnel. The aim of the workshop is to inculcate responsibility and respect towards fellow human beings irrespective.
