Freedom Park and School Learners Conduct Social Cohesion and Nation Building Activities at Robben Island, Cape Town from 3-5 November 2017

In its quest to impart national issues of National building, Reconcilliation and Nation Building, Freedom Park will from 02-05 November 2017 partner with Help to Care SA, Robben Island and the Western Cape Provincial Parliament in hosting a Youth Intervention Programme . 65 learners from  Piketberg, Porterville, Wittewater, Goedverwagcht and Moorreesburg in the Western Cape Province, will participate in the programme.

The programme will take place at Robben Island in Cape Town. The objectives of the programme is to amongst others focus on making an awareness and sharing information on issues of basic human rights, Ubuntu, heritage, history and social cohesion matters.

The activities will include a dialogue session, in which topics such as safety, awareness on crime prevention, gangsterism  conflict resolution, youth development, leadership skills etc, will be discussed.
