The purpose of this programme is to outline the pseudo-scientific and Eugenics as ideas of Race, which become integral to government policies and legislation in the late 19th and 20th centuries.

The purpose of this programme is to examine the emergence of the two nationalisms, its origin and the impact on South African politics.

The purpose of this Educational Programme is to ensure that Freedom Park’s educational offerings are relevant to the mainstream education system. Most importantly, Freedom Park is a heritage site/precinct that teaches the nation and humanity about the struggle in all its forms and manifestations, including the struggle against the unpredictability of the environment, especially in the 21st century.

The education Unit, cognisant of the fact that Freedom Park came into being as part of the recommendations of the TRC, has decided to commemorate these historical events with educational programs.

This education program arises out of the strategic objective: Mobilize educational institutions to educate learners to engender cohesion is also based on and supplements the heritage project for history learners in the FET band, namely; remembering the past: memorials.
