Freedom Park mourns the loss of Xolani Gwala

Xolani Gwala

Freedom Park like the rest of South Africa mourns the loss of one of the greatest broadcasters this country has been fortunate to encounter. Xolani Gwala's return to the airwaves in 2018 brought hope and reason. He was someone who was simply dedicated to his work, did it superbly and cared about the society on which he commentated.

The veteran broadcaster, whose last employer was Radio 702, had a 24 year career in radio and television. Over his years in broadcasting, working in radio and television, he has been a reporter, news anchor, producer, talk show host and current affairs presenter and spans across radio and television. Every moment on radio was magic for his listeners.

Freedom Park extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
