Jabu Masina wa one of the students who’s schooling was affected by the 1976 Soweto uprising. He became bitter at the brutality he experienced with the black policemen who were part of their communities in Soweto. He went to exile with the aim of getting education, but the brutality of these black police terrorising the black communities made him to decide to join the MK military and come back to deal with the brutal police as an underground with the aim of killing them.

SABC 3 Lifestyle Magazine programme MELA shot an exclusive mini biopic in a textual and visual narrative on Freedom Park focussing on the Wall of Names, in particular the Wall of Names of the Indentured Labourers. It focussed on the arrival of the 1860 Indians.
