The Cuban Embassy in collaboration with Freedom Park will launch a rare photograph exhibition of the late president Fidel Castro. The exhibition is part of the Cuban Embassy 4th anniversary and commemoration of the passing on of President Fidel Castro Ruz. The primary mandate of Freedom Park is to honour the heroes and heroes of the struggle for freedom and humanity. President Castro Ruz led the selfless Cuban internationalism in Africa in the struggle for total liberation of some African states, including the Cuba’s contribution in the liberation struggle, which ultimately led to the democratic dispensation in South Africa.
The exhibition brings together snapshots taken by photojournalists; from different generations of the Prensa Latina (PL) agency. It highlights the figure of Fidel Castro in different relevant scenarios of the evolution of the Cuban Revolution. The exhibition is titled : "In memory of Fidel Castro" . Thirty rare photographs of the late Fidel Castro will be exhibited.
During the launch, several speakers will participate in a conversation about Castro’s role and the Cuban internationalism in Africa. Several embassies are expected to attend. A wreath laying ceremony shall precede the exhibition launch, it will take place at the Wall of Names, on which Fidel Castro’s name is inscribed.
