Freedom Park’s primary mandate is to honour the heroes and heroines of the struggle for freedom and humanity, with the objectives being to foster issues of nation building, social cohesion and reconciliation. More than 20 years into our democratic dispensation, the country is still reeling from issues of violence against women and children, racism, xenophobic attacks and socio economic problems. Freedom Park has from time to time, through various activities; such as inter- generational dialogues, exhibitions, public lectures etc.; tried to inculcate attributes of Ubuntu to communities. During the festival, prerecorded messages of humanity / Ubuntu will be highlighted on regular intervals.
Some of the artists expected to perform are: the Tshwane Gospel Choir, three times winners of the Best Gospel Award Competition, Greg Georgiadis, Jonathan Martin, Nathi Bantu, The Real MXO, Bucy Radebe, Puleng March, Buhle Thela and many more.
Tickets are obtainable in advance of the event as well as at the gate on the day of the event at R200.00 ( two hundred rand) per person. For more information, visit our website on www.freedompark.co.za.
