Remembering our Peoples Hero, revolutionary communist, and martyr Chris Hani.

As we remember Chris Hani, let us not forget the ideals that he lived for are the ideals that inspire us as we relentlessly pursue the struggle for economic emancipation, non-racialism, and a better life for all South Africans.

Chris Hani was the General Secretary of the South African Communist Party (SACP) and leader of Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK), the military wing of the African National Congress. “A passionate and charismatic man and the only political leader who seemed to have influence over the radical township youth that had parted from the authority of the ANC, Hani's SACP was expected to provide a serious match for the ANC in the 1994 elections”.

Hani’s death robbed our nation of a committed revolutionary who embodied the undying resolve to freedom and liberation. He will forever remain the consummate poster icon for all the disparate forces who still hail him as their hero and guiding light.
