To all Editors

The National Heritage Council of South Africa (NHC) through the Resistance Liberation Heritage Route (RLHR)programme  will close off Youth month with some thought provoking conversations  on South Africa’s liberation heritage where young people will assess if today’s youth culture contributes in national building and how far have we come since 1976 Soweto uprising.

Under the theme, ‘Youth in an Intergenerational Society’ Freedom Park, a National Heritage Site in Pretoria, will host an intergenerational dialogue in memory of the heroic efforts of the June 1976 youth.  An intergenerational audience is expected to participate in the discourse. Speakers will amongst others include Seth Mazibuko from the June 16 Youth Development, Phineas Kutumela former teacher at Molopo Secondary School and Douglas Ngobeni COSAS spokesperson. The event will include a Wreath Laying ceremony.
