Under the theme “10 Year Remembrance Call to Action, the Legacy Lives on through You” Freedom Park, a National Heritage Site, in Pretoria, The Gallery of Legends, Eye Nkosi Empire, Dipalopalo, Dandozerst Restaurant, Framefun Digital Printing, will on the 18 July 2023 commemorate the birth of the first democratically elected president, Mr Nelson Mandela through a response to his clarion call. A call for volunteerism and servitude.

 

The Ronnie Mamoepa Foundation (RMF) is thrilled to announce the official launch and commemoration event in honour of Ronnie Mamoepa, to be held at the Freedom Park National Heritage site. This momentous occasion will witness the presence of esteemed dignitaries and will feature a wreath-laying ceremony along with a key note address on behalf of the Cabinet by the Presidency.

The National Heritage Council of South Africa (NHC) and Freedom Park will close off Youth month with a Heritage Lecture on the June 16 liberation struggle icon, Tsietsi Mashinini under the theme Accelerating youth economic emancipation for sustainable future. The Tsietsi Mashinini Heritage Lecture will take place on Friday, 30 June, from 10h00 – 13h00 at Freedom Park in Pretoria.

 

As the country commemorates the 43 anniversary of the June 16 Soweto uprising, under the theme “Accelerating Youth Economic Emancipation for a Sustainable Future” Freedom Park, allows free access to the youth on June 16.

Freedom Park’s mandate is to honour the heroes and heroines who fought for the liberation of our country, with its objectives being to foster issues relating to nation building, reconciliation, social cohesion.” We hope that the youth of our country will use this free pass opportunity, and come to Freedom Park, to learn about the liberation history of our country” Jane Mufamadi CEO, Freedom Park.
